Mini-splits for Corpus Christi
Life on the coast is hard on air conditioning. The heat and humidity run for most of the year, and the salt in the air wears down outdoor equipment faster than it would inland. A mini-split that’s chosen and installed for the coast lasts much longer.
Built for salt air
Close to the water, we recommend outdoor units with corrosion-resistant coils or protective coatings. We also place units where they’re shielded from the worst of the wind and spray, and we recommend regular rinsing to keep salt from building up.
Ready for storm season
Hurricane season runs from June through November. On raised homes and beach houses, we mount outdoor units on sturdy brackets or elevated platforms to keep them above storm surge, and we secure them against high winds.

What a typical install looks like in Corpus Christi
The visit starts with how close you are to the water. That decides whether we recommend a unit with corrosion-resistant coils or a protective coating, and where the outdoor unit should go to stay out of the worst of the wind and spray.
On install day, we mount the indoor unit, run the line set and drain line, and secure the outdoor unit on a bracket, platform or pad. On raised homes, we keep it above flood levels and anchor it against high winds. Most single-zone installs take about a day, and we test everything before we leave.
Salt builds up on outdoor coils over time, so we’ll show you how to rinse the unit with fresh water. A yearly tune-up, ideally before hurricane season, keeps it in good shape.
