Mini-splits for Kansas City
Kansas City sees both extremes: humid summers and winters cold enough to test any heating system. Many homes in Brookside, Waldo and Hyde Park are older brick houses with third-floor attic rooms that bake in July, finished basements that never feel warm, and additions the original system can’t reach.
A ductless mini-split heats and cools each of those spaces on its own, with its own thermostat.
How our network works
Windsanity is based in Houston. In Kansas City, the work is done by a trusted technician from our network who knows the area. We coordinate the job, from sizing and quoting to scheduling, and hold it to the same standards as our own installs.
Built for real winters
Standard heat pumps lose capacity as the temperature drops. For Kansas City, we recommend cold-climate mini-splits that keep heating efficiently in the deep cold, so the system is just as useful in January as it is in July.

What a typical install looks like in Kansas City
It starts with a conversation with Windsanity. We ask about the space, collect photos, and line up a technician from our Kansas City network to visit. They measure the room, check its insulation, and confirm a cold-climate model sized for both July heat and January cold.
On install day, the technician mounts the indoor unit, runs the line set and drain line, and sets the outdoor unit on a raised stand or wall bracket. Keeping it above the snow line lets it drain properly when it defrosts in winter. Most single-zone installs take about a day.
A yearly tune-up in the fall checks that heating mode is ready before the first hard freeze. We stay your point of contact for questions, warranty help and maintenance.
