Mini-splits for Las Vegas
Las Vegas heat is a different kind of challenge. Summer afternoons regularly pass 110 degrees, and the sun is relentless. Many homes have casitas, garages and patio rooms that the main system was never designed to cool.
A ductless mini-split cools each of those spaces on its own, with its own thermostat and no new ductwork.
How our network works
Windsanity is based in Houston. In Las Vegas, the work is done by a trusted technician from our network who knows the area. We coordinate the job, from sizing and quoting to scheduling, and hold it to the same standards as our own installs.
Built for desert heat
In extreme heat, equipment choice matters. We recommend units rated for high outdoor temperatures, size each system for its room’s sun exposure, and place outdoor units where they get some shade and good airflow. Desert dust also clogs filters quickly, so regular cleaning keeps the system running efficiently.
Common Las Vegas projects
- Casitas and guest suites
- Garages used as gyms, workshops or game rooms
- Enclosed patio rooms
- West-facing rooms that bake every afternoon
What a typical install looks like in Las Vegas
It starts with a conversation with Windsanity. We ask about the space, collect photos, and line up a technician from our Las Vegas network to visit. They measure the room, note which walls get afternoon sun, and confirm a unit rated for extreme outdoor temperatures.
On install day, the technician mounts the indoor unit, runs the line set and drain line, and places the outdoor unit where it gets shade and good airflow. Line sets in direct sun get UV-resistant covers so the insulation doesn’t break down. Most single-zone installs take about a day.
Desert dust clogs filters fast, so plan on rinsing them every few weeks in summer. A yearly tune-up in spring gets the system ready before the hottest months, and we stay your point of contact for anything you need.
