Mini-splits for Memphis
Memphis summers are hot and heavy with humidity, and many of the city’s best-loved neighborhoods are full of older homes. Central Gardens, Evergreen and Cooper-Young have plenty of houses built long before central air, often with sunrooms, sleeping porches and upstairs rooms that are hard to keep comfortable.
A ductless mini-split heats and cools each of those spaces on its own, without new ductwork.
How our network works
Windsanity is based in Houston. In Memphis, the work is done by a trusted technician from our network who knows the area. We coordinate the job, from sizing and quoting to scheduling, and hold it to the same standards as our own installs.
Built for river-city humidity
Memphis humidity makes rooms feel warmer than the thermostat says. We size each system so it runs long, steady cycles that dry the air, not short bursts that leave rooms clammy.
Common Memphis projects
- Historic homes in Midtown without central air
- Sunrooms and enclosed porches
- Duplexes and rental units that need independent room control
- Garages and workshops
What a typical install looks like in Memphis
It starts with a conversation with Windsanity. We ask about the space, collect photos, and line up a technician from our Memphis network to visit. They measure the room and, in older Midtown homes, check the walls and trim so the install doesn’t damage original details.
On install day, the technician mounts the indoor unit, runs the line set and drain line through a small hole in the wall, sets the outdoor unit, and connects the power. For sunrooms and enclosed porches, the system is sized for all that glass. Most single-zone installs take about a day.
Memphis humidity is hard on drain lines, so a yearly tune-up keeps them clear and prevents leaks. We stay your point of contact for questions, warranty help and maintenance.
