Mini-splits for Sugar Land homes
Sugar Land has a lot of established neighborhoods, and many homes in areas like First Colony and Sugar Creek were built in the 1980s and 1990s. Over the years, families have added sunrooms, finished bonus rooms and turned spare bedrooms into offices, often without upgrading the original central system to match.
A ductless mini-split cools those spaces on their own. There’s no new ductwork, and your existing system doesn’t have to work harder.
Common Sugar Land projects
- Sunrooms and enclosed patios that are too hot to use in summer
- Home offices that need to stay comfortable all day
- In-law and guest suites that need their own temperature control
- Garages and workshops
Sized for Gulf Coast heat
Sugar Land shares Houston’s long, humid summers. We size each system for the room it’s cooling, including the windows and the way the room faces, so it runs steadily and keeps the air dry, not just cold.
Close to home
Sugar Land is part of our Houston home base, so our technicians are close by for installs, repairs and tune-ups.
What a typical install looks like in Sugar Land
For a sunroom, the visit matters most. We count the windows, note which way they face, and check the roof and insulation, because glass rooms gain far more heat than a regular room of the same size. That tells us how big the system needs to be.
On install day, we mount the indoor unit, run the line set and drain line through a small hole in the wall, place the outdoor unit where it’s out of sight but has good airflow, and connect the power. Most single-zone installs take about a day. We test the system and walk you through the controls.
For in-law suites and offices, we set it up so the person using the room controls it on their own. A yearly tune-up keeps it efficient through Sugar Land’s long summers.
